My old tempest quit working after 4 years so I bought a new model. The set up instructions are vague but customer support was very helpful

Awesome till it’s dead…

Set it up this last summer. I am in a geographically unique rural area and having an idea of what the actual temperature and co dictions are was great! Lightning alarm was equally awesome and helpful.
My issue is the battery life. Seems rural mountain Idaho is too cold. Mid January and the unit is stone cold dead, even with sunny days and direct southern exposure to the solar panel. I can always bring it inside and charge it, but that kinda defeats the purpose.

Best weather station I've owned

I only gave 4 stars because the radar source it uses isn't as accurate as what i can access with my Weather Channel app. Literally it shows spotty showers, but the whole area around me is experiencing steady rain. But I love all of the other features and being able to access other stations, which is very helpful for people who vacation in out of the way places that don't have a lot of coverage. Having an easily accessible history is a great feature also. Plenty of information for a weather lover and definitely the easiest station to set up. Highly recommend it
