Tempest Weather Station

I have had at least 4 devices, in 2 different locations, here in Deep South Texas. All devices fail after about 2 years, more or less. While they work they are great; no moving parts, self charging, not obtrusive, good weather data. For them to work, they have to be located in difficult to reach places so minimal hands on maintenance is a plus. Recently installed a new device after one had failed, and while I got good discount on this replacement, cost was still steep. The install instructions leave much to be desired, fortunately a tech chat overcame the issues. I will likely have to replace the other device, when I can further evaluate. Great product, just wish they lasted longer.

This is my second Tempest weather station and like the first it does a great job. Easy setup and accurate results make Tempest ideal for weather watchers that want to track local conditions. Unlike that you can upload data to other weather sites and the small unobtrusive unit blends into the background. Very happy with Tempest products.

I bought this for my son who has been wanting a weather station for several years. He was very excited for it and said it was easy to install. He says all the good reviews are accurate and he's been enjoying his new "toy" for a couple of weeks now.

Loved my Tempest, but when it stopped working after many years of service, I contacted customer support. They were great about getting a new one to me with a family discounted rate. Had my new one up and running within a half hour.

I have always loved this weather station and have supported them from the early days. However, I wish, and would have gladly paid extra for, the nearcast forecasting tech. I dont necessarily need a commercial system but I cant help but think most weather enthusiasts would appreciate at least the option to include this tech with the regular tempest home system.
