Power Booster Accessory

Had a two year old tempest that was going off line after several days with little or no sun in an unobstructed location up on my roof. Added the power supply unit with a connection to 120v and ran the wire (a very generous length and more than I needed), and everything snapped together. Not as convenient as having the promise of a wire free unit, but this is what I need for not having gaps in my weather data for reporting and use. Took off one star since this is probably needed when you buy the wx station.

During summer I have plenty of sunlight but winter the sun is lower in sky behind tree line. This power booster is working great and keeping my tempest recording weather stats. Only 2 weeks sofar, but doing great. Will see how long a full battery will last for an alabama winter.

When the time changed this fall, I started having issues with my Tempest charging properly. The power accessory has made all the difference.

We live in the forrest so we don't get enough light to solar charage int he winter, and it fixed that problem! However cable is monsteously long for my purpouse would be better if cable length was customizable. Also I live in the U.S. but it came with a european adapter but since I was using batteries it didn't matter.

Finally solved the problem of our Tempest weather station being low on power. We have a heavily treed lot and there never seemed to be enough direct sunlight for our weather station. Now with it connected directly to power, it’s working great!
