Does the WEATHERmeter have an internal compass?

No, the Tempest WEATHERmeter relies on the connected mobile device’s compass for direction heading, as it does not have a built-in magnetometer. Only the WEATHERmeter for Precision Shooting features an internal compass.

Is the WEATHERmeter app free?

Yes! The free ‘Wind & Weather Meter’ app can be downloaded from both the App Store and Google Play. Additionally, the meters are compatible with iKitesurf, iWindsurf, SailFlow, FishWeather, and WindAlert.

The on-screen gauge readings are limited to displaying 6 parameters at a time, but you can customize this display with 20+ different readings. Additionally, you can view the full report of all measured and calculated readings after taking a sample. Weathermeter

Easy to setup and use. The manual and support are very good. Accurate temperature readings are a little tricky. Waiting 10 minutes for the sensor to acclimate after exposure to direct sun, body heat, etc, is not ideal. Would like to wait only 1-2 minutes.
