Pole Mount Attachment

I bought the pole mount as a replacement for the one that came with the weather station. The reason I had to replace it was that the small tabs that engage and lock with the weather station all snapped off, they are not very robust. Still, it lasted for 3 years outdoors so I guess that's just the way it goes.

Just what I need to extend the weather attachment above a new fence for maximum height.

After 4.5 years the original pole mount attachment wore out somehow. Last Saturday we heard a crash of some type and could not figure out what had happened. I eventually found the Weatherflow sensor in the neighbors yard. It landed on the pine straw and soft ground and appeared undamaged. I guess that a final strong gust of wind disconnected the sensor from the pole attachment sending the sensor crashing some 25' to the ground. I saw that the 4 small nubs on the pole attachment had been worn down I guess from the winds. I moved the sensor to an alternative spot and confirmed that it still was working. I ordered the new pole attachment part and will reattach it to the PVC pole that I made and then put the entire unit back in place off our back balcony.

This replaced a piece that was damaged by wind. Now out Tempest us good as new.
