What is TRMNL's return policy?

PAYMENTS ARE NONREFUNDABLE AND THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS. Refunds or credits may be provided on a case by case basis such as in the event of a damaged or mis-delivered physical good from our online storefront.

Are there ongoing costs to using TRMNL?

No, every device includes lifetime access to the web platform, in addition to various open source projects for self-hosting. However, TRMNL defaults to refresh every 15 minutes, and faster options are available for a small fee.

How does TRMNL actually work?

On the TRMNL website you connect as many plugins as you'd like. Every few minutes, your device wakes up and requests another screen from your TRMNL playlist. Devices connect to your local WiFi and you can configure detailed working hours or sleep schedules to see what you want, and when.

Do I need to know how to code to use TRMNL?

No, hundreds of plugins (growing weekly) make it easy to see your schedule, the weather, upcoming sports scores, and more with just a few clicks. If you do want to build plugins however, there are simple developer SDKs and tutorials to connect 3rd party apps.

Will not update

I only have one app installed, the Tempest Weather Station app. Since I got it set up, it does not refresh the screen unless I manually press the button on the back for 3 seconds, and then most of the time not even then. I have had to reconnect to my wireless network, which worked for a day or so and then reverted back to not updating on the screen. When I look at the online app it shows it appears correctly, most of the time. This is not at all what I expected. It is not a monitor screen for Tempest at all. Throwing it in the trashcan most likely.

Comprehensive Technology & Easy to Install

I have had a few different weather station brands over the years. By far the Tempest with TRMNL are the best. Accurate advance alerts on my iPhone for lightning coming to my home. So far, the forecasts on temperature and rain have also been accurate. And it alerts me when it's raining at home, and great comprehensive weather data specific to my home. Was very easy to install and setup. Had a question for technical support and they were wonderful to deal with. I completely recommend these products.

Nice idea

This is nice, but always an issue connecting to the wifi, resetting it all the time. Will go back to just having the app on a smart TV

Confusing set up

Not a tempest product, not live data. Solid device once set up after figuring out the process with little to no instructions. But when someone buys a device to display the information from a weather station they usually want LIVE data, not data every 15 min. If you want live weather data get a better weather station that comes with a display, I know I will be going back to AcuRite!

Set up difficult

Weather info too small except temperature.
