What is TRMNL's return policy?

PAYMENTS ARE NONREFUNDABLE AND THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS. Refunds or credits may be provided on a case by case basis such as in the event of a damaged or mis-delivered physical good from our online storefront.

Are there ongoing costs to using TRMNL?

No, every device includes lifetime access to the web platform, in addition to various open source projects for self-hosting. However, TRMNL defaults to refresh every 15 minutes, and faster options are available for a small fee.

How does TRMNL actually work?

On the TRMNL website you connect as many plugins as you'd like. Every few minutes, your device wakes up and requests another screen from your TRMNL playlist. Devices connect to your local WiFi and you can configure detailed working hours or sleep schedules to see what you want, and when.

Do I need to know how to code to use TRMNL?

No, hundreds of plugins (growing weekly) make it easy to see your schedule, the weather, upcoming sports scores, and more with just a few clicks. If you do want to build plugins however, there are simple developer SDKs and tutorials to connect 3rd party apps.

Perfect!

Device is well built, very easy to see, easy to set up, has options for hanging and a stand, or you could easily add a frame. I love that it’s capable of displaying calendars and so much more as well as my Tempest data. The TRMNL is a very useful device and well worth having in the home.

This is an amazing display. Since it doesn't use backlight it is perfect for a bedroom where more light is a bad thing!

We love knowing what our weather station is reporting before we get dressed for the rest of our day!

Had great hopes...

Product fell way short of our expectations as well as the as the Terms of Service per David at TRMNL HQ. The TRMNL has two issues that we came across that should be addressed. The battery, while fully charged, only lasts about 48 hours while displaying our Tempest Weather that we have set to refresh every 15 minutes. And the TRMNL has to be reset on the back almost every 4 hours in order to keep current on the weather for its 15 minutes refresh setting. It is a great idea, we just believe it's not ready yet. And the email we received from David, lacks just about everything. Our message - Procedures for returning? It just isn't working like we hoped. Every 4 hours or so we have to reset it so it will update the Tempest weather playlist screen. And we have it set for 15min refresh. We have no issues with anything else on our wifi. His message -
Hi there, thanks for reaching out. As per our Terms of Service, we do not offer refunds since we're a startup - which I know feels strange in our world of Amazon returns. Nothing to try and figure out what was going on, no assistance what-so-ever, no suggestions. We will not and cannot recommend this product. If anything, it needs to be removed from selling until they figure out what they are doing. Again, it is a grand idea. We love the idea of what it can do, it just isn't worth it.

Unintuitive and dysfunctional

Interface for setup is very clunky. Changes take to long to refresh to programming is difficult. It does not refresh as set. Tempest should not be associating with this product. It does not live up to its quality and ease of use. How do I send this back?
